The University of Florida, Department of Entomology & Nematology, states, “The German cockroach is the cockroach of concern, the species that gives all other cockroaches a bad name. Because the German Cockroach breeds continuously, its population can increase very quickly (exponentially). This insect is omnivorous, eating table scraps, pet food and even have been known to eat the glue in book bindings.
